For over 30 years, Drew Kanellopoulos has had a single focus: leveraging his mastery across various functions within core finance to maximize firm throughput and profitability. Capitalizing on his 30+ years’ expertise in strategic planning, due diligence efforts, and integration, he has successfully led several acquisitions totalling over $625 million thus far. Currently, he is a Chief Financial Officer at ARCHER and defines and drives key corporate strategies by cross-synergizing with the board of directors, chairman, and the C-suite.
A pioneer in helping various corporations navigate through mergers, acquisitions, complex restructurings, and geographic expansions, Drew joined ARCHER in 2019. He powered through the limitations that the pandemic brought and shortly after joining, completed the laborious feat of developing and spearheading strategic initiatives to form a subsidiary, open an offshore office and staff 200+ employees in India in less than a year.
Before ARCHER, he served as a full time CFO for organizations like AIS Info Source, LP and Bensussen Deutsch & Associates (BDA), Inc, where he led and advised these multi-million-dollar organizations through complex restructurings, hyper growth, and capital market transactions.
In 1985, when Drew humbly started out in the industry as a senior staff accountant at Continental Airlines, it took him only a few years to get to a position where he was juggling various senior level treasury and finance roles at notable firms like ENRON, Nabors International, and Microsoft Corporation.
Drew’s versatility towards developing and executing mid and long-range strategic vision for firms is prominent from the time in his career when he worked as an independent consultant across diverse industry verticals. His management, financial, and operational expertise enabled him to lead financial projects as an interim CFO and interim VP of Financial Planning and Analysis where he was responsible for building the FP&A function/organization in a $4 billion spin-off.
Drew completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He later completed his MBA with high honors from the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago.
